NCN Monthly Meeting
We meet at 7pm on the second Tuesday of every month at the Don Umerly Civic Center in Rocky River, 21016 Hilliard Blvd, Rocky River, OH 44116. This is our general business meeting, after which we have a speaker or other activity. And snacks!
Sewing with our Members!!
Community Service Sit and Stitch
The first Wednesday of the month from 10am - 3pm at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church,
468 Bradley Rd, (corner of Wolf and Bradley roads) Bay Village, OH 44140.
We work on Three Yard quilt kits, UFOs that were donated if you are adventurous and would like to tackle finishing (or redesigning) an abandoned project., OR you may work on your own projects – your choice. Donated quilts go to Sew4Service, Frontline Services, and local hospitals.
If you are coming to Community Service, please bring
- Your machine, foot pedal and cord (or borrow a machine from the church)
- Lunch if you plan to stay (there’s a refrigerator and microwave)
- Canned goods, pet foods, or hygiene items for a donation to the church’s Community Cupboard food pantry (the church does not charge us rent or storage fees but asks that we support this effort).
Evening Handwork Sit and Stitch
The evening Sit and Stitch is on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 7pm to 9pm at the Bay Village Library, 27400 Wolf Road, Bay Village, OH 44140. Handwork only. Bring your own project or something you are working on for community service.
Bent Needlers
The 4th Tuesday of the month is “Bent Needlers” from 10am - 3pm at Porter Library in the Craft room. You can bring any form of hand sewing or needlework, but you can also now bring your sewing machine. Sessions will run from 10:00am to 3:00 pm. You should plan to bring your own lunch or snack.
